It was a special delivery with a whole lot of heart this week when our client Cooper dropped off some homemade Yatala pies he personally made at work for his friends and neighbours, Tim and Ross, who also live in an Eloma Care SIL home!
The connection started at a house BBQ hosted by support worker Loretta. Tim and Ross must have made a lasting impression that day, with Cooper remembering them and wanting to do something special for his new friends.
Putting his skills to use, Cooper baked a batch of Yatala pies at work and brought them around to share. While it might seem like a simple gesture, it’s a lovely example of the connections our clients make with one another, even when they live in different homes.
Cooper’s thoughtful delivery is a great reminder that friendships can grow in unexpected places and that staying connected doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, all it takes is a handmade pie and a little kindness!
