Toby from our Queensland Group Home recently headed out on an exciting community access adventure with his support worker, Mick, to the beautiful O’Reilly’s Rainforest Walk. During the outing, Toby challenged himself by taking on the famous suspension bridges, which stand up to 16 metres high above the stunning rainforest below.

The walk was an 800 metre round trip. While Toby admitted that climbing up the ladder and facing the heights was a real challenge, he showed incredible courage and determination throughout the experience.

Toby shared, “Getting up the ladder was a mission because of my fear of heights, but the feeling of making it to the top and seeing that beautiful view is something I will never forget.”

This outing was a fantastic achievement for Toby, demonstrating resilience, confidence-building, and willingness to step outside of his comfort zone. The day was filled with encouragement, accomplishment, and unforgettable views of the majestic rainforest. We’re so proud of Toby and can’t wait to see what adventure he takes on next!
