Since July 2025, Tanya from Gaythorne Day Program has been brightening Tuesdays at Huskk Café in Grange as part of our Work Experience Program, where we offer opportunities for clients to learn real life skills.
Every week, she dedicates an hour to helping out! She has learned everything from cleaning tables, restocking cutlery, putting dishes away, and wiping down menus. Work experience has provided Tanya with a wonderful opportunity to connect with others and be proud of her contributions within the community.
With support from her Lifestyle Assistant, Sheeta Lin, Tanya has grown in confidence and independence. Recently, she’s taken the exciting step of delivering drinks to nearby tables, delighting café customers with her friendly service.
Tanya’s commitment and progress show what dedication, support, and real-life learning opportunities can achieve. Well done Tanya, you’re a star! 🌟👏
